Lithology and Thickness

Claystone. More than 300 m thick and exposed in a clay diapir 50 km SW of Mandalay. It is composed of bluish to greenish grey clays and some silty sandstones.

Lower contact

It is the oldest unit of Pegu (Bago) Yoma-Sittaung Basin (BYSB)

Upper contact

Conformable with Taungtalone Sandstone Fm

Regional extent

This Fm is developed in Pegu (Bago) Yoma-Sittaung Basin.
